QET delivers training in

Photo Voltaic Grid Connect, Design and Install

Competencies Delivered:

UEERE0054 Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems.

UEERE0061 Design grid-connected photovoltaic power supply systems.

UEERE0080 Install photovoltaic power conversion equipment to grid.

UEERE0081 Install photovoltaic systems to power conversion equipment.

People with an electrical mechanic licence can complete all competencies and be eligible for the Grid Connect Design and Install Solar Licence.

This training is being delivered by Chris Williamson. Chris has over thirty years experience in teaching trade and advanced trade in the electrical industry. He has accreditation for both Grid-Connected and Off-Grid Solar Systems and has installed small and large systems (up to 100kW). Chris will guide you through these competencies, provide helpful hints, suggest ways in which to do things, and make sure you are aware of the regulations, standards, and your responsibilities.

Delivery:

Course Material: QET has produced a comprehensive Learning Guide to assist you through the Australian New Zealand Standards. The learning guide takes you step by step through the design, install and fault finding of PV systems.

The Practical component includes fitting of Solar Panels, fitting of an inverter, and then cabling and commissioning the inverter.

Assessment:

Theory Assessment:

In accordance with the competency assessment guidelines and will assess your ability to design a grid solar system.
  • Conduct site surveys
  • Photo Voltaic theory
  • Wiring Diagrams
  • Cable Sizing
  • Protection Sizing
  • Earthing

Practical Assessment:

In accordance with the competency assessment guidelines and will assess your ability to install solar panels and inverter energy system.

You will be required to install solar panels, inverter, protection, cabling, and earthing in accordance with Australian/ NZ Standards framework.
